5 Ways to Spruce Up Your Backyard for Spring

The spring weather has officially arrived in Florida, so we’re ready to spend time outdoors before the temperature peak in the 90’s!

Whether it’s getting together your family and friends for parties, after-school playdates or just to get the kids outdoors, try sprucing up the patio or backyard with these 5 simple outdoor décor ideas!

1. Upgrade your seating with different pillows and styles

If you’re gathering with a group of friends or kids, it’s important to have different types of seating styles, whether it’s couches, stools, benches or Adirondack chairs. Place them according to how you’d like people to interact while seated. If you have your seating arrangement all set up, try adding some bright, patterned throw pillows for a welcoming experience.

2. Add greenery, flowers and planters

A great and easy way to spruce up your patio is by using foliage to make it feel tropical and lush. Make sure to find ones that need either full-shade, sunlight or half and half, depending on the coverage of your patio.

3. String lights or tiki torches along the outskirts

When entertaining, it’s great to designate a ‘space’ for the crowd to be. If you have a large backyard with a porch, string lights are a great option to extend the porch area to the backyard without it looking too empty. String lights also look great if you have trees extending diagonally or horizontally. If you don’t have a porch area, tiki torches are also a great way to outline or stagger through the yard and they’ll help steer away bugs!

4. Add an umbrella with chaise lounge chairs

Nothing beats grabbing a good book and a beverage after a long day. A simple patterned umbrella covering lounge chairs are a welcoming spot for a couple or friends to enjoy the evening light, poolside or just in the yard.

5. Create table settings for outdoor dinners

Get the family or friends together outdoors for dinner one evening with the perfect table set up and pillows galore. Stores like Target and Home Goods have great disposable dinner wear if you’re looking to keep dishes to a minimum.

LakeShore Ranch – Guarantee Tranquility

You take pride in who you are and what you do, in your work, your family, and your life. LakeShore Ranch ensures that you take pride in your home, too, a showpiece of luxury living. The private, peaceful, and ideally located neighborhood offers all of that and more, from the meticulously landscaped gated entrance to first-class amenities to your home’s light-washed rooms with views of untouched nature.

LakeShore Ranch is simply ranch-style living with 21st-century elegance.

Set among wetland conservation areas, with ponds and a lakefront, the home sites of LakeShore Ranch guarantee tranquility. Larger-than-average home sites, the Home Dynamics lots are at least sixty-five-feet wide, enjoy gorgeous views of western Florida’s distinctive natural abundance, while still convenient to all the fun and features of major metropolitan areas.

[mk_blockquote style=”quote-style” font_family=”none” text_size=”12″ align=”left”]“When you drive through the gated, brick-paved entry, an attendant waves you into a world that’s almost impossible to imagine,” says Kelley Raunec, New Home Consultant for Home Dynamics.[/mk_blockquote]
A spacious 12,000-square-foot clubhouse looks and feels like an Old Florida ranch, while also updated for today’s lifestyles, with such modern amenities as a fire pit and yoga center, a fitness center, kitchen, and conference room.
There are three resort-style swimming pools, including a lap pool and a pool for the children. There are tennis and basketball courts. Neighbors also share a playground, a fishing dock, an amphitheater, and a picnic area. Even the family’s best friend isn’t left out here, with a fenced-in dog park.

[mk_blockquote style=”quote-style” font_family=”none” text_size=”12″ align=”left”]“While family-fun features make you feel at home, your home really is at the heart of LakeShore Ranch,” says David Schack, president of Home Dynamics.[/mk_blockquote]

A brick paver driveway, walkway, and porch welcome you into one of six available home styles. Take a look at three decorated models: Model B features warm contemporary décor, with calm gray tones; Model C showcases a relaxed California-coast theme with teal and sandy-beige colors; Model D’s roomy one-story floor plan reflects a traditional Nantucket feel, with navy and white highlights.

Spaciousness and light-filled rooms are distinctive hallmarks of Home Dynamic’s designs here, with nine-foot ceilings on the first floor and a coffer ceiling in the master bedroom. In other flourishes, the bath offers a Roman tub, granite vanity tops, dual vanities, and wood cabinetry. The kitchen also features gorgeous granite countertops and birch or maple cabinetry. And all of these stylish touches are included with excellent energy efficiency in mind featuring natural gas appliances.

In a word, LakeShore Ranch is all about balance: leaving untouched the beautiful natural surroundings, yet enhancing them with world-class designs; creating spacious and lovely homes that conserve resources; and creating a community in a peaceful setting that also enjoys an ideal, convenient location.

Just 30 minutes north of Tampa, LakeShore Ranch offers excellent proximity to the finest in shopping, dining, entertainment, and recreation. Take the family to Busch Gardens/Adventure Island, the Land O’Lakes Recreation Center, The Florida Aquarium, or Hillsborough River State Park. Brush up your swing at nearby Groves Golf and Country Club. Revel at the Gulf coast’s renowned white-sand beaches. Shop at International Plaza and Bay Street, The Shops at Wiregrass, and have a great meal and a good time at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. For business travelers, the Tampa-St. Petersburg International Airport is close by, and for children, excellent schools, including Land O’Lakes High, Pine View Middle, and Sanders Memorial Elementary schools, are convenient, too.

Impeccable balance, from peaceful privacy to comfortable convenience, makes LakeShore Ranch an extraordinary example of true artisanal living.
